Between Rails Generator Set: MODEL BRG-540-SC 

Designed for New Sliding Skeletal Trailers

Klinge Corporation's BRG-540-SC was designed to fit new sliding skeletal trailers developed for the European market. The specialized trailer is unique in that it overcomes the absence of a multi-purpose trailer capable of servicing reefers ranging from 20' to 45', which has historically been a major restriction.

The height of the BRG-540-SC generator set design has been lowered for compatibility with conventional loading docks. This new compact design has been a momentous change for cold chain operators.

Klinge Corp’s BRG-540-SC creates a much more complete seal between the reefer and the building is formed because the reefer is at the correct height to correspond with the dock. This seal substantially minimizes temperature loss. With the shorter height of our new BRG-540-SC, the reefer is now capable of being placed at the correct height to correspond with the dock

BRG-540PL FEATURES

» POWER GUARD™ Fault Protection System provides overload and single phase protection, high coolant
temperature and low oil pressure fault protection, and enhanced safety.
» Mounts in line with engine facing forward for better airflow and easier maintenance.
» All service components are accessible with unit mounted on chassis.
» The alternator is of a brushless, self-excited, compound regulated design, with an insulation
system specifically designed for refrigeration application.
» Designed for quick mounting or removal from either a 20' or 40' container chassis.
» Fork lift pockets are provided at the bottom of the generator set; these are closed at the fuel tank side to
reclude handling the diesel generator set with the center of gravity located in a dangerous position.
» Constructed of steel, with aluminum doors. Where aluminum and steel surfaces meet, insulating tape is
provided on the aluminum surfaces to prevent catalytic corrosion.
» A battery charging circuit consisting of a separate alternator with incorporated voltage regulator
provides a battery charging current inversely proportional to the battery condition.
