Design Engineer
Job Summary
The position
requires technical competence in machinery design, competence in
manufacturing techniques, decision making and leadership abilities, as
well as the ability to manage time and schedules for completion of
engineering projects. The Design Engineer communicates
with management, purchasing, production, and project management
departments on a daily basis, and must be able to make sound engineering
decisions in a timely manner, and with little supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.0 Performs necessary functions to design and develop new or existing
refrigeration units and generator sets.
2.0 Completes work from input requirements or instructions to design new
components or redesign existing components to improve our products.
3.0 Determines and establishes specifications through engineering
calculations and layouts.
4.0 Oversees and assists with assembly of refrigeration prototypes.
5.0 Communicates with vendors to obtain information and application
assistance.
Qualifications
1.0 Education - Bachelors degree in an
engineering discipline
2.0 Required Experience -
Minimum 3 years refrigeration equipment design
2.1 Desired Experience -
Refrigeration design, Diesel Generator design, Electrical Controls
design
