Freezer Units
Klinge Corp offers a complete cold-chain solution to Ultra-Low Temperature Storage. Our line of freezer units includes blast freezers; electrical refrigeration units for transport on vehicles, ships, and rail; cold storage modules; and quick thaw units.
Our freezer units are primarily used by the fish and meat industries for the freezing, transport, storage, and thawing of food. Additionally, the freezers also have applications for keeping ice core samples at their required temperature and deep freezing gel packs that are used for the transport of pharmaceuticals.
DEEP FREEZER UNIT
Klinge offers a mobile or stationary Deep Freezer that maintains cargo within 0 deg C to -60 deg C (32 deg F to -76 deg F). The Deep Freezer, Model SDF-60, is a split refrigeration unit capable of being used in a 20' or 40' ISO container or in a room (evaporator section located in the room and compressor section located outside the room).
Unlike other designs, Klinge Corp’s ultra-low temperature storage solution contains defrost heat in the evaporator section so that heat does not enter the flue. More standard designs allow heat from defrost to enter the container thereby heating up the container.

QUICK THAW UNIT
Klinge’s Quick Thaw Unit, Model QTU-42, (produced by Morep Food Process Limited) stores products at their ideal process temperature with minimal manual operation.
The key to the success of the Quick Thaw Unit is the intelligent Klinge/Morep controller which closely monitors and regulates internal container temperatures (within 1°C) and the thawing process as a whole, thereby reducing driploss.
This system has been shown by Morep to reduce driploss by up to 50% and the temperature data can be easily download and transmitted for food safety and quality assurance purposes.

BLAST FREEZER UNIT
Klinge offers a Container Blast Freezer Unit, Model CBU-30 that freezes cargo to -60 deg C (-76 deg F).
The CBU-30's large evaporator’s highly efficient blower fan pulls air through loads even with high cargo internal pressure drop thus ensuring optimal heat removal from the product.
Many standard units are not equipped with an evaporator fan designed for cargoes with high-pressure drops. Without Klinge’s special design, airflow would be reduced and the blast freezing process would take considerably longer.

TRANSPORT FREEZER UNIT
Klinge’s Transport Deep Freezer, Model TDF-45, is a split electrical refrigeration unit designed for vehicles and rail transportation. The TDF-45 is used for transport or storage from 0°C to -60°C (32°F to -76°F).
